Class Topic

 In class today we read and went over the story “The life you save may be your own”. This story was about a girl with a disability and her mother and another man that also has a disability. We read and wrote some critical questions and some characteristics about the characters. To end the class we did a vocabulary test about the words we had learned last week.

 I think that the probability of life outside of earth is very high. I say around like 99.9999% chance that there is another life form out there. My reaction to seeing the earth from mars was just like wow. We look like just another star, just a little dot. When hearing the black hole it surprised me honestly I was told that space had no sound and a black hole would appear and you wouldn’t know unless you seen it. Now that hearing the sound it make it makes the black hole much more scary. All of this information just shows that the technology that we have now could be nothing compared to these other life forms out there and we could be really outdated.

Class Topic

 In class today we went over another poem by Langston Hughes. This poem was called Dream Deferred. As we analyzed this poem we were asked a few amount of questions and we answered them. One of the questions being what is you dream. Now this question led up to us writing a poem about what our dreams were. That is what we did in class today.

What We Did In Class

Today in class we finished the book Fences. The ending of the book took a turn none excepted. The ending of this book consisted of the family gathering and attending Troy’s funeral. As they get ready to go to the funeral Cory reveals shocking news saying that he will not be at his father’s funeral due to him wanting to release his fathers shadow from him. Finishing the book took no longer than the beginning of class. As we got back from lunch to finish the period we presented our one page analysis. That is what we did in class today.
